Who knew a little yellow bird could change my path. Not me, that’s who.

It was 7 am on a Thursday.

As we walked our Lights Out Northeast Florida survey route in downtown Jacksonville, my partner and I found what we were looking for but always hope to avoid: a bird that had collided with glass. The little yellow warbler, weighing less than an ounce, sat stunned and vulnerable on the sidewalk. People hurried past, either looking away or not noticing the small bird that needed help.

In that moment, I felt a real disconnect.

By the way, we rescued the little bird and released her in a local park, where she flew up into a giant oak tree and, I like to think, lived happily ever after.

Every organization has its own people, priorities, challenges, and goals. Whether you’re looking to support employee well-being, create meaningful student experiences, strengthen community connections, or inspire people to care about the environment, your programs need to feel relevant to the people you serve—and lead to something meaningful beyond the experience itself.

Your people, your mission, our community.

My background weaves together

  • corporate media and instructional design,

  • master’s degree in conservation and sustainability,

  • community-based conservation leadership with Lights Out Northeast Florida, and

  • yoga and contemplative practices.

This means I understand: how to communicate ideas in ways that resonate with different audiences and how to connect those ideas to research, well-being, nature, and meaningful action.

Your needs come first. I use this combination of experience to design experiences that fit your audience, align with your mission, and create opportunities for people to feel more connected, hopeful, and capable.
